You can have Published NFT notify you on your desktop — a Chrome or Windows notification — when a new edition of the News Stand is published.
It is entirely optional and off by default. Nothing is sent until you turn it on.
Turning it on
- Open your notification settings from your profile.
- Switch on desktop notifications.
- Your browser will ask for permission — accept it.
That is all. You do not need a wallet, and it works in any Chrome-based browser on Windows, macOS or Linux.
Turning it off
Switch the same setting off, or block notifications for publishednft.io in your browser's site settings. Either works, and neither affects anything else on your account.
What the notification actually contains
Nothing, until it arrives. The push itself carries no content. When your computer wakes up, it fetches the current headline from the site and shows that.
This is deliberate, and it has a useful side effect: if your laptop was asleep for two days, you are told about today's edition rather than the stale one that was queued when you went to sleep. It also means nothing about you crosses the network — no reading history, no account details, nothing but a wake-up signal.
