Design notes for platform mechanics — most are not yet built

This section holds the design notes for the mechanics that sit underneath the platform: how reading is rewarded and proven, how the DAO and the PAGE token are meant to work, how books are identified, and how events and community access are handled.

Read this section as intent, not as a feature list

Most of what is described here is not built. These pages set out how things are meant to work so the reasoning is on the record and can be argued with — they are not a description of what you can use today. Each page states its own status at the top.

In particular: the PAGE token does not exist, is not for sale, and has never been sold. Read-To-Earn, Proof-Of-Read, staking and the DAO all depend on it and are therefore all unbuilt.

What is live from this section

  • ISBN vs PSIM — PSIM is the identifier actually used on every book on the platform.
  • Royalties are live and enforced by contract. See the Royalties page.

Anything that launches from here is announced on What's New first.
