For readers
- Reading Assistant. Open in the reader on any book you own. It summarises a chapter, answers questions about the passage in front of you, generates flashcards and study guides, explains a difficult concept, and analyses characters. Your reading is processed to answer the question and is not stored.
- Ask Cindy. A text and voice assistant that knows the platform and this documentation — for finding a book, getting through checkout, or understanding what a wallet is.
- Text-to-speech. Any book, read aloud, whether or not it has a produced audiobook.
For writers and artists
AI Tools is open to everyone, free, with no wallet required. It covers cover art and illustration, children's storybook generation, bookmark design, image retouching and resizing, narration voices, and prompt help for all of it.
Behind the scenes
- The News Stand writes and publishes a new edition every day.
- Book validation checks an EPUB's structure and metadata before a title is minted, so a broken file is caught before it becomes a permanent record.
The honest limits
AI here is a tool, not an author and not an adviser. It gets things wrong, and it is never the authority on anything involving money — the transaction you signed and the record on the chain are. Where AI has generated or assisted with something on the platform, we say so.
